Enterprise EV Single Domain

Your organization's identity, in the certificate. The highest level of TLS trust.

An Enterprise EV Single Domain certificate performs full Extended Validation vetting of your organization's legal existence, physical address, operational status, and authorization. Your verified identity is permanently embedded in the certificate. Carries a $1,750,000 warranty.

What is Enterprise EV?

An Enterprise EV certificate goes beyond DV and OV by requiring SSL.com to perform thorough vetting of your organization before issuance. The verified organization details — name, jurisdiction, registration number — are permanently embedded in the certificate itself.

Enterprise clients, security tools, and sophisticated users can inspect the certificate and confirm your identity. Modern browsers no longer show a special EV indicator in the address bar (this changed ~2019), but the EV organization information is fully visible in certificate details and available to security tools, enterprise systems, and any user who inspects certificate fields.

For DV and OV single-domain options, see the Single Domain TLS/SSL certificate page.

Frequently asked questions

SSL.com verifies: (1) the legal existence of your organization in a recognized government registry, (2) your organization's physical address, (3) that your organization is operational, and (4) that the person requesting the certificate is authorized to do so. All of this information is embedded in the issued certificate.
Modern browsers no longer show a special EV indicator in the address bar (this changed ~2019). However, the EV organization information is fully visible when users click on the padlock/certificate details — and is available to security tools, enterprise systems, and sophisticated users who inspect certificate fields.
Typically 3–7 business days, depending on documentation availability for your organization.
No — the CA/B Forum prohibits EV for wildcard certificates. If you need EV across multiple domains, use the Enterprise EV UCC/SAN multi-domain product instead.
EV validation is tied to the certificate. When you renew, SSL.com may need to re-verify your organization's current status — particularly if your legal registration or contact information has changed.
Yes. SSL.com supports ACME (RFC 8555). With certificate lifetimes now at 200 days (and shortening), automated renewal is strongly recommended. See the ACME / CLM page.
The warranty is a relying-party protection — it covers end users who suffer financial loss due to a mis-issued certificate. It is not insurance for the site owner. Enterprise and financial services buyers often specify minimum warranty levels in procurement.
